Sant’Antioco island is not only culture, history and religion but also beautiful beaches.
Maladroxia is the closest beach to Sant’Antioco town (just 5 minutes driving).
White sandy beach, naturally heated water pools in the sea…a real natural spa. Sant’Antioco is a volcanic island and here at Maladroxia beach you can feel and benefit from its natural hot water.
Maladroxia is the beach sheltered from the mistral wind, when it blows too strongly. Being on Sant’Antioco island, you will learn about winds and which beach to choose everyday to be sheltered from them.
Maladroxia is also known for being the ideal beach for families with kids and I can tell it’s true, being the favorite of my 3 years old daughter.
Maladroxia beach is both equipped (Penelope Beach) and free. There are also few kiosks where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. My advice is to avoid going there at week-ends in high season (August): it can be really too crowded with people.
