Last summer I had the chance to spend a beautiful day at “The Cyclops” swimming pool. It is set in an ancient volcanic crater and it is of seawater; there is also a small swimming pool for younger guests (for more information please visit http://www.iciclopi.net/servizi.php).
The pool is amazing and the view from there is breathtaking: it is located directly on the sea, on Cala Sapone side.
It is equipped with umbrellas, sun beds and there is an open kiosk from 9 to 19, where it is possible to have lunch or have an ice cream. We had lunch there and we ate a good hamburger and an ice cream.
There is direct access to the sea through ladders. Walking through the rocks you can easily reach Cala Grotta, one of Sant’Antioco’s beautiful hidden coves.
It is a great alternative to a day at the sea. It is open to public every day but not in high season because it is fully dedicated to the Cyclops’ guests (don’t try to go there in August!). It is worth a try!
Thanks for the blog article.Really looking forward to read more. Awesome.
